24 years old and three months pregnant, died when a coal truck slammed into her while she was being loaded
into the back of an ambulance.

An indictment was issued against Elliot County Clerk Reeda Ison, and Pillersdorf, DeRossett & Lane is fighting to
have the indictment against her dismissed for several reasons.

On September 10, 2008, a Letcher County jury awarded nearly $650,000 in damages Wednesday to five
families represented by Pillersdorf, DeRossett & Lane and attorney Joey Childers of Lexington. The families'
water was wrongfully contaminated by an underground coal mine in the late 1990s.

Other lawsuits have been settled privately or are pending.
